Produced in BALB/c x ICR F1 mice using highly pure (>98%) recombinant human IL-4 as the immunizing antigen. This IgG1K antibody was purified from ascites fluid by Protein A affinity chromatography.
E.coli derived Recombinant Human IL-4 (PeproTech catalog #200-04)
In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100µl/well), a concentration of 0.5-1.0 µg/ml of this antibody will detect at least 2000 pg/ml of recombinant human IL-4 when used with PeproTech's biotinylated antigen affinity purified anti-human IL-4 (500-P24Bt) as the detection antibody at a concentration of approximately 2.0-4.0 µg/ml.
To detect hIL-4 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.20-0.50 µg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hIL-4 is 0.25-1.0 ng/lane, under reducing or non-reducing conditions.
