Monoclonal Antibodies

Preparation: Produced in BALB/c x ICR F1 mice immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human IL-4. Anti-Human IL- 4-specific antibody was purified from ascites fluid by Protein A affinity chromatography.

Immunogen: E.coli derived Recombinant Human IL-4 (PeproTech catalog# 200-04)

Sandwich ELISA: In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100μl/well), a concentration of 0.5-1.0 μg/ml of this antibody will detect at least 2000pg/ml of Recombinant Human IL-4 when used with PeproTech’s Biotinylated Antigen Affinity Purified Anti-Human IL-4 (500-P24BT) as the detection antibody at a concentration of approximately 2.0- 4.0 μg/ml.

Western Blot: To detect Human IL-4 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.20-0.50 μg/ml. When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant Human IL-4 is 0.25-0.5 ng/lane, under reducing conditions or 1.0-2.0 ng/lane, under non-reducing conditions.
