Monoclonal Antibodies

Monoclonal antibodies are produced by cells expanded from a single parent cell, resulting in the production of a homogenous antibody preparation. These single-parent cells are derived from hybrid antibody-expressing cells (Hybridomas), typically made by fusing myeloma cells with spleen cells from a host which has been immunized with the target antigen. The resulting hybridomas are screened for their specificity to the target protein and consistently produce the same high quality antibodies. PeproTech’s monoclonal antibodies are raised against full-length recombinant antigens and have been thoroughly screened for performance in a variety of applications.

Anti-Human Adiponectin (Monoclonal Mouse)

Anti-Human IL-6 (Monoclonal Mouse)

Preparation: Produced in BALB/c mice using highly pure (>98%) recombinant human IL-6 as the immunizing antigen. This IgG1K antibody was purified from cell culture by Protein A affinity chromatography.

Immunogen: E.coli derived Recombinant Human IL-6 (PeproTech catalog# 200-06)

Sandwich ELISA: In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100µl/well), a concentration of 1.0-2.0 µg/ml of this antibody will detect at least 800 pg/ml of recombinant human IL-6 when used with PeproTech's biotinylated antigen affinity purified anti-human IL-6 (500-P26Bt) as the detection antibody at a concentration of approximately 0.1-0.2 µg/ml.

Anti-Human IL-6 Sandwich ELISA

Western Blot: To detect hIL-6 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.5-1.0 µg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hIL-6 is 3.5-4.0 ng/lane, under reducing conditions and 1.5-2.0 ng/lane, under non-reducing conditions.
